I’ve been to Saigon for a week now so I’ll give you my insights of what I experienced so far

I wasn’t too sure about coming here because when I think of Vietnam, I imagine a cheap ass place with rice fields The type of place where old foreigners go to find a CLEANER wife and die In reality this city is very developed. It’s like Bangkok 5 years ago. If you want nice cafés, restaurants etc you have plenty of choices If you want specific things like idk onsen, ice baths, a good fighting gym, proper Italian food you only have a few decent options, BKK is more developed on that It’s way less polluted and traffic is way better. It’s also way cheaper, BKK is 2x more expensive The food is surprisingly good, I like Pho From what I see, foreigners in Thailand are more degenerate but also more ballers. While here they’re more backpackers etc many losers and brokies tbh Girls are ok but they use too many faceapp filters and speak no English. They’re also kinda stupid tbh. My Vietnamese friend said they have no education, they don’t take school seriously and watch TikTok all day; which is the same problem as Thailand, it makes sense to me I already had local friends here so I met up with them, great people. Comparing Vietnamese vs Thai people is a complex topic so I’ll break it down in another post Some people are extremely nice, they’re also very smart. But the majority of people will scam you without any regret. That’s the thing I hate the most about this place They’re completely ok with scamming a foreigner, no shame at all. So I can’t really see myself living here For everything else is pretty cool, it’s a cheaper version of Bangkok 👍
