My two cents regarding Jake Paul and Tate
Jake is a fucking G, imagine going 6 rounds with an Olympic boxer that is 20kg heavier than you
Even if Joshua was “holding back”, it’s impressive. And Jake Paul was already rich, he didn’t “need” to become a boxer.
He put everything on the line, in order to get to the next level
Respect
Regarding Tate, he’s 40. And he’s a kickboxer, not a boxer.
In boxing you only use half of the strikes you use in kickboxing. If you ever trained martial arts you’ll know this, it’s a different sport
In a kickboxing fight, he would maul him
But I don’t understand why he wanted to fight him in the first place. Tate literally had nothing to gain from it, whether he won or lost
Let’s say he knocked out Chase, so what? It’s not like it would massively benefit him in any ways
But losing by KO, when his whole branding is based on him being a “superhuman”? That’s bad, especially from a business standpoint
So I respect that he showed up and put everything on the line, but in my humble opinion, he could have avoided that
Overall, it still amazes me how people hate on them for “losing” their fights
You should never hate on anyone, especially if he’s objectively in a better position than you
